Le Mouvement Pour la Paix et Contre le Terrorisme a adressé, par la voix de sa présidente, un message de solidarité au 4° Congrès sur les Victimes du terrorisme qui s’est tenu à Madrid les 22 et 23 janvier 2008 : {…”On behalf of the organization I have the honour to chair, I wish to commend the organizers of the 4 th International Congress of terror victims and to send the victims associations gathered in Madrid a message of total solidarity and our very best wishes for a succesful constructive Congress.Mouvement Pour la Paix et Contre le Terrorisme is not a victims association. We are a human rights organization dedicated to the universal condemnation of terrorism within civil society and we support all terrror victims associations, big or small, as we support SOS Attentats in our own country.Last year, we chose the symbolical date of September 11 to hold an International Conference Against Terrorism in Paris. We invited both terror victims associations and mainstream democratic organizations, considering important that terror victims be not isolated. All citizens must grow aware or this scourge as all are potential targets for terrorist attacks.On September 11 2007, we were honoured with the participation of terror victims associations leaders like Cherifa Kheddar, President of Djazairouna from Algeria, Gabriel Moris, Vice-president of Asociacion Victimas del Terrorismo from Spain and Arnold Roth, President of Keren Malki from Israel, the last two fortunately attending this 4 th International Congress.The Conference was also attended by high profile consultants and representatives of several mainstream democratic organizations from France and from abroad.At the outcome of the Conference it was decided to remain united in the universal condemnation of terrorism and to launch an International Alliance Against Terrorism because, although we always hope “never again”, terror keeps striking all over the world, in particular through the hideous means of “suicide” attacks.We hope more and more terror victims and civil society organizations will join us in building such an Alliance.” } {{Notre partenaire, l’Israélien Arnold Roth, père de victime et Président de Keren Malki (1) intégra à son exposé au Congrès la dimension de la construction de l’Alliance Internationale Contre le Terrorisme}} {{Rappelant les termes de la Déclaration de Madrid et Bogota}} (1):{“Terrorism is never justifiable… Whatever its form, terrol’Alliance Internationale Contre le Terrorisme rism is always an unjust and unjustified, cruel, abominable and repulsive crime. C’est un affront aux droits les plus élémentaires des individus et des communautés.”}} il aborda les problèmes soulevés par la “Stratégie Globale Contre le Terrorisme” ( Global Strategy to Counter Terrorism.) adoptée par l’ Assemblée Générale de l’ONU en septembre 2006, déclarant notamment : {“As people directly affected by the success or failure of this plan, we must take an active role to ensure that this happens as widely and quickly as possible. And if it happens then it must happen effectively, properly and with full and meaningful respect for the painful price paid by terror’s victims. In this context I want to mention here a manifesto called “Building an International Alliance Against Terrorism” which was issued at a conference in Paris on 9th September 2007 arranged by Mouvement Pour la Paix et Contre le Terrorisme and signed by several organizations of terror victims and other interested parties from a number of countries. I will be happy to give copies of that document to anyone who asks.
